Description
BASS is seeking candidates for an experienced Legal Assistant opportunity for our Bangor client. The type of work you will be doing is transactional, which includes real estate, municipal, land use, and some litigation.

Some duties to include:
• preparing and typing legal documents and correspondence
• assisting multiple attorneys with all aspects of document preparation
• tracking and managing deadlines
• document organization and management
• communicating with clients, financial institutions, and other professionals
• assisting with corporate filings and registrations
• updating/maintaining minute books
Requirements
Applicant must have strong interpersonal skills, self-motivated and responsive to multiple and changing priorities. Have a high attention to detail, possess excellent communication skills (oral and written), and work effectively alone or as a member of a team.
Experience working in the Corporate/Commercial Real Estate field preferred yet other legal experience may be considered.
Legal Assistant experience is also preferred, yet willing to train candidates with high level administrative experience.

This is a full-time, 40-hour a week Contract to Hire position that has an excellent benefit package when go permanent. Pay is $16-$20, based on experience.

Legal File Clerk/Receptionist in Bangor, ME 04401
Description
BASS is seeking qualified, professional File Clerk/Receptionist applicants. This is a full-time, long term temporary opening for a local law firm client. Monday - Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, $14-15 an hour.

In this position you would be doing lots of filing, both alpha and numeric! Scanning documents and ensuring files are in order and all documents accounted for. You would respond to all requests to access files and keep file logs. Support legal staff on projects as needed.

This position requires occasional backup Receptionist duties as well. You would help with Front Desk reception duties answering busy phones utilizing phone system via computer & monitors. Strong customer service skills, friendly welcoming demeanor are a must!

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14-15.00 per hour
Requirements
Candidates must have:

Proven experience as file clerk and reception
Very good knowledge of MS Office and office equipment such as photocopier, scanner etc.
Good command of English both oral and written
Dependable with a respect to confidentiality and policies
Excellent organizational skills & Great attention to detail
High school degree or equivalent
