A/R Billing Specialist in Ellsworth, ME 04605
BASS is seeking an A/R Billing Specialist for our client, a chiropractic office. Some of the main tasks you will be doing: billing, perform month-end processing, reconcile all insurance claims accurately and in a timely manner, verify patients insurance information, work receivables-collections, receive and post payments, and handling patient questions regarding their accounts. May assist reception when needed.

This is a full-time position and it's hours are scheduled between 8 am to 5:30 pm Mon-Thur. and 8 to 2:30 pm on Friday.

Our client has offices in both Ellsworth and Bangor; initial training is done in the Bangor office and our client prefers candidates that would be available to work in Bangor on occasion too, if needed.

Pay: $15 to $18 per hour, depending on experience
Experience in accounts receivables.
Medical billing experience a plus.
Must have good computer skills, accurate data entry skills, high attention to detail, and be a team player.
Must maintain patient confidentiality and rights.
Minimum HS Diploma or equivalent.

We are seeking qualified candidates for an Area Financial Controller for this direct hire position with our client. In this key role you will develop budgets, provide leadership, oversee and direct accounting operations in the business divisions within the area regions in Maine. Some of the essential duties:

· Coordinates monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close processes to ensure reports are entered accurately and completed on time.

· Assists Regional Controller with overall compliance in performance of controls and the accuracy of the financial statements and compliance with the company’s principles and standards, SOX and GAAP.

· Develops, executes, and manages control systems to ensure company integrity and regional distribution inventories.
· Communicates with accounting team and other departments to engage in future planning as well as ensuring all current functions are meeting their financial and operational goals; creates clear goals for direct reports in order to provide accountability and feedback.
· Periodically travel to other sites in Maine to ensure personnel connection and operational cohesiveness.
Key qualifications required for this excellent opportunity:
· 8-10 years of leadership and supervisory experience.
· Extensive experience/knowledge of GAAP
· A strong understanding of planning, processing, and manufacturing service contracts and a demonstrated knowledge of strategic economics, budgeting and accounting principles are expected.
· 8-10 years of operational experience.
· Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or other related field
· Preferred: An advanced degree, certifications in techniques for process improvement, specialized training in accounting or finance, and experience and/or interest in an environmental and/or sustainability field.
· Outstanding relationship management, coaching and development skills.
· The ability to utilize information and objectives to make beneficial financial decisions for the market area and further develop a team.
· Knowledge and/or experience with Sarbanes-Oxley a plus.

Direct Hire opportunity! The BASS team is recruiting an Assistant Controller for our client! In this position you will assist the Controller to prepare financial statements, evaluate market area budgets, and monitor all accounting-related activities within the organization.

The typical schedule for this position is Monday thru Friday, 8am-5pm, between 40-50 hours per week. Pay is $80k-95k per year, depending on experience! Our client also offers a full benefits package.

- Maintain internal controls in order to manage all aspects of the general ledger and prevent inaccuracies in financial statements.
