Cabinet/Bench Carpenter in Bangor, ME 04401
Description
Bangor Area Staffing is seeking experienced Cabinet/Bench Carpenter candidates for our industrial cabinet making client. Ideal candidates will have finish carpentry and/or cabinet making experience, yet our client is willing to train candidates with some carpentry experience. Cabinet installation experience a plus.

This Contract to Permanent position's pay rate is based on experience, $13.00 to $18.00 per hour.
Schedule: Typically 7 am to 3:30 pm, Monday thru Friday.
Requirements
You must be self-motivated, hardworking and a team player. Must have carpentry skills and experience with woodworking/carpentry tools. Must be able to meet physical requirements of position, lift up to 65 lbs, stand for long periods, crouch, bend, reach, and fine hand motor skills. Must possess a valid driver’s license. Minimum HS diploma or equivalent.

Meet at the business and drive a company vehicle to the job sites. Contract to Permanent position with hourly pay rate range $13-$16 based on experience. Civil Surveyor in Augusta, ME
Description
Direct Hire opportunity! The ideal candidate will have experience on DOT projects, or wind or solar farms, or utilities. Possessing a functional knowledge of all survey equipment including set-up, acquisition styles, and equipment limitations with respect to tolerances and expectations. Position is responsible for overseeing the accuracy and ensuring integrity of all aspects of the survey, including routine maintenance of all survey equipment.
Responsibilities:
-Work as a one-man crew or supervise a survey crew, performing boundary, topography, ALTA, right of way and construction surveys for public and private clients
-Set-up, operate and routinely validate accuracies of survey equipment including data-collector, digital level, and GPS system.
-Perform/verify survey related mathematical calculations
-Prepare/maintain legible field notes and sketches
-Coordinate work of assigned subordinate personnel; assist and train
-Perform accuracy and calibration checks and adjustments on equipment
-Necessary office work
Requirements
Driver's license with a clean record
Submit to a DOT substance use screen (and have no previous failures)
HS Diploma or GED
Min. of 5 years of experience working as a survey party chief
Knowledge of Trimble Access & Business Ctr.; Trimble robotic total stations, GPS and data upload/download routines
Knowledge of Trimble survey styles, site calibration routines and methodology
Must be willing to travel
Survey Technician in Augusta, ME
Description
Full-time, Direct Hire opportunity! Handling boundary type projects such as boundary mosaics for linear projects, easement plats and ALTA plans. Position is located within a more traditional survey shop; provided a project and take it from field management, through data processing, performing the research and drafting the actual plans. This is a production job being offered with a chance to grow professionally under the tutelage of seasoned surveyors.

Responsibilities:
*Convert field survey data to computer map form using AutoCAD Civil 3D 2019 and
Trimble Business Center software and perform associated mapping and records work as
assigned
*Prepare as-built drawings and databases of construction projects
*Prepare alta surveys and land survey plats
*Prepare full topographic maps with surface creation using AutoCAD Civil 3D
*Prepare construction and boundary field packages
*Review client’s plans for compliance with surveying protocols and company standards
*Prepare maps of the new project areas for inclusion into GIS
*Maintain the horizontal and vertical control database
*Prepare alignment files (.RXLs) utilizing Trimble Business Center
*Prepare specialty maps for client use
*Check daily field notes for completeness, accuracy and compliance with company
format
*Assist field crews with calculations, create base files, and maintain current
versions
*Determine that all project survey tasks have been completed, reviewed, processed and
documented in compliance with the project requirements
Requirements
Applicants will have a basic understanding of survey procedures and data collection and a level of knowledge to work independently
Ability to work on multiple projects using raw field data and computer data
Ability to apply land surveying methodologies, formulas, principles, and techniques to solve surveying related problems
Extensive knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and Trimble Business Center
Working knowledge of Trimble GPS units and data collectors is preferred
Ability to review their own work for accuracy and completeness and the initiative to recommend solutions or improvements as appropriate
Self-starter, organized, attentive to detail, and able to work under stress to meet deadlines
Will develop and/or review alignment sheets, detailed construction drawings, including Plan & Profile, detailed crossings for land and marine, exhibit and permit drawings.
Will design pipelines and pipeline maps for clients utilizing survey data, field notes and other key information.
Assemble delivery packages as specified by the client or Project Manager
Review all finished deliverables with the Project Manager and/or Survey & Mapping Manager for Quality Assurance and Quality Control
