Full-time, Contract to Hire! Excellent benefit package offered upon hire! Monday through Friday, 8 - 5 with some flexibility offered. This is an entry-level position requiring a high-attention to detail and strong customer relations. Candidate will serve members by providing education about plans and the process, as well as calculate initial benefit payments and refunds. Tasks will entail:
Calculate refunds, estimates, service credit purchases and preliminary benefits by consistently applying laws, rules, policies, practices and user guides
Review accounts for accuracy and correct existing errors
Determine membership and retirement eligibility
Calculate member contributions, interest, and creditable service
Assist members, retirees and employers with benefit-related questions
Support colleagues with information and assistance related to the calculations
Other tasks as assigned
The right candidate will have 4+ years of self-directed work experience demonstrating excellent customer service, research/analysis, computer skills and the ability to work independently.
